Glen Parsons


Glen Parsons is an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner, Certified Athletic Therapist, Acupuncturist and Certified Functional Strength and Conditioning Coach with 29 years of clinical practical experience.

He graduated from Sheridan College in 1990 with a Diploma in Sports Injury Management and he became one of the youngest Certified Athletic Therapists in Canada at the age of 21.

He continued his post graduate education at the Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Toronto and graduated in 1997 with a Diploma in Acupuncture.

In 1998, he started the Osteopathy program at the Canadian College of Osteopathy in Toronto and graduated with a Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice in 2005.

Glen was presented with the William Garner Sutherland Thesis Award for outstanding research contribution for the advancement of Osteopathy in the field of clinical research.  His thesis was on The Effect of Osteopathic Treatment on Asthmatics.

Glen is also a Certified Functional Strength and Conditioning Coach.  His passion for overall health and wellness continues with his commitment to movement, mobility, stability, balance, speed, agility, conditioning, strength, and power.

Glen is also a trained Shift Concussion Management Provider as well as a Functional Movement Screen (FMS) Certified Provider.

One of Glen’s great passions is Performance Coaching.  He is an Alpine Ski Racing Coach and passes on his vast experience to all the athletes he coaches.

Glen continues to advance his learning and experience through The Biodynamics of Osteopathy program with Dr. James Jealous D.O.  He has completed Phases I-IX and Pediatrics Phase I.

Glen gained valuable experience working at a variety of clinics and post-secondary institutions throughout Ontario.

Prior to relocating to Barrie, Glen was the Head Athletic Therapist at Humber College in Toronto.  While in Toronto he spent 8 years working with Canada Basketball and the Men’s National Basketball Team travelling the globe.

Glen has been selected to the Canadian Health Care Team for several international sporting events including the 1999 Canada Winter Games, 1999 Pan-Am Games, and the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia.  Glen has also volunteered at many sporting events at the Provincial and National level.

Glen enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and participating in anything active.  He has a passion for alpine skiing, mountain biking, motocross, golf, canoeing, kayaking and being on his stand-up paddleboard.
